Sports and Exercising


Instructions for your blog

For this first blog, you will write about sports and how important are they for our health.  Answer the two following questions with your own opinion and using a paragraph format.
  1. Which sports do you like to play? How are they practiced? Mention and explain 2 of them.
  2. What is the importance of playing sports or doing exercise? Talk about the benefits of exercising for our body.

  1. Sports have a very important place in our health because help us stay fit, too they avoid heart diseases and allow us to look good physically.
    I like to play tennis, volleyball but I practice soccer… now in two teams; if you want to practice this sport you have to train because is a hard sport. Some people think that soccer is only a game for men but they are wrong, now a lot of women play soccer even, better that men.
    What do you need to practice?
    First that all you have to know how play as a team because you can not do everything alone, also is important have a good aim because you have to score goals into the arc and finally you need sports clothes like tennis shoes, shorts and t-shirts.
    Other sport is the tennis, this is a sport where you play alone or in pairs in a field… and you need a racket, balls and sports clothes.
    The importance of doing sports is that you improve your health and that many avoid certain vices… No matter if you are an excellent or a bad player, but more important is to try for your health!

  2. Many people believe that sport is just a hobby but do not know is a fundamental part in our lives, it helps us to have good health and physical condition. People who exercise prevents your body from any disease.
    I like basketball, cycling and soccer. I practice soccer in the school team, I will train on Thursday. Football is fun but be careful and practice. The player requires strategy, strength, cunning and can not be afraid of the ball.
    For biking you need to have balance, concentration and check the bike before riding it.
    The sport helps us maintain good physical condition, a fat person has breathing problems and often have difficulty walking, are at risk of having disease. The person doing exercise is a good diet including foods from all food groups.

  3. Playing sports is one of the favorite activities of most of us. Apart from being a fun activity, sports offer several health benefits. Sports play a vital role in the enhancement of our personality by being a source of exercise and entertainment. It reduces blood sugar level, cholesterol and body fat, strengthens bones and muscles. It improves coordination, balance and flexibility.
    Also playing sports are very beneficial for the development of social skills in a person. Playing sports decreases the chances of hypertension and several other stress related disorders like depression or anxiety.
    In my case I like to play ping-pong and swimming. In the ping pong a ball has to be returned with the racket to the other side after hitting the table once. The other sport is swimming which is based on the ability of humans to float and move on water and make competitions, I have heard that swimming is a unique sport because it provides incredible resistance and relieves tensions.
    Playing sports are a beautiful blend of recreation and physical activity.

  4. The sports are very important in our lives because with the sports we can have a good health with good health and prevent disease we can have a healthy body, I like to play tennis and I practice soccer.
    To play soccer you have to train very hard because soccer is a contact game, when you play soccer you have to learn to work as a team because the game of soccer is a team game and if you want to play soccer you have to have a ball and many friends to play with, instead to play tennis we need only two people a racket and a ball of cord.

  5. Practice any sport is good for your health because the exercise might make you feel strong and better. You can combine it with a diet of vegetables and fruits and you can eat a little bit of everything you like….
    I like to play football. It is practiced with 2 teams of 11 players each one (maybe less or more). To practice it you need a ball and comfortable clothes. It is practiced in a soccer field….
    I like to play cycling. To practice it you need a bike and comfortable clothes, you can go around cities, mountains or the beach, you can go to all the places you like….
    Do exercise is the best!!!!

  6. Exercise is really important to our lives by allowing us to stay healthy and fit, and ensures a better quality of life in the present and future.
    As I like to play baseball, badminton and swimming. But what I practice is swimming , this exercise is necessary first of all know how to swim and have a good physical condition as this exercise is strong and it takes a lot of discipline, swimming allows us to have good physical condition also helps us with many diseases such as asthma and muscle problems.
    Exercise is something that is easy to do important and necessary to maintain our body good.

To keep a good health is very important to have a good diet and practice some sport to avoid having any disease in the future, today sports are of great importance in the lives of all people, there are many types of sports that a person can play from the comfort of their home or even in a stadium or gym.

    I like yoga and karate, yoga is a sport or physical and mental discipline that originated in India, is related to practices of meditation. To practice yoga only needs to be in a calm environment where the person can relax. Karate is an Okinawan martial art (Japanese), a person who practices this martial art is called a karateka; to practice requires a uniform called karategi or keikogi, composed of a jacket, pants and a belt.

    Make some kind of sport is of great importance to health and no matter if you are good or not, so everyone should try one.

  8. The importance of doing exercise or playing sports is that regular exercise is necessary for physical fitness and good health. Regular physical exercise safeguards and supports bone and joint health for everyone. It reduces the risk of heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes and other diseases. It can improve your appearance and delay the aging process. Exercise is also a key to weight control because it burns calories. If you burn off more calories than you take in, you lose weight. It's as simple as that.
    I like to swim, swimming is an activity that can be both useful and recreational. Recreational swimming is a good way to relax, also swimming is an excellent form of exercise while enjoying a full-body workout. I also like to play badminton is a racquet sport played by either two opposing players (singles) or two opposing pairs (doubles), who take positions on opposite halves of a rectangular court that is divided by a net. Once you begin to exercise regularly, you will discover many more reasons why exercise is so important to improving the quality of your life. Exercise reduces stress, lifts moods, and helps you sleep better. It can keep you looking and feeling younger throughout your entire life.

  9. I think sports are important part of life, as a part of helping us to be in good physical condition, have the body you want, to help us to have good health and prevent many diseases that will appear with the passage of the years.But people don`t know how important sports are to your health.
    I like playing tennis is a sport that is practiced with bats and is hitting the ball with the racket to go from one field to another,bypassing the red.y I also enjoy playing badminton, the sport performed most often in pairs and is very similar to tennis, the difference is not used a ball but a steering wheel. I am not a sports fan but these 2 seem very interesting.

  10. Exercise and perform different types of sport is very important in our lives, it helps us to be healthy and when we older people do not have some kind of disease.
    I like volleyball and basketball. Volleyball is easy to learn, does not require expensive equipment, and also can be enjoyed by people of almost any age.

    To start playing basketball, we need to first gather the equipments. The game only requires a ball and two hoops for make a basket.
    Each goal or ‘basket’ is worth 2 points.
    The game starts with a jump ball. A jump is when one person from each team goes in the center of the court and jump to tip the ball their team mates after the referee throws the ball straight up.

    Exercise is key to a healthy life style and I think more people should realize that, even though it kills to go outside to run,sweat or only do exercises in home I think the true meaning is to have fun.

  11. Nowadays, I like to play a lot of sports, but my favorite sport is soccer, and the second its football. In soccer you have to make goals, to make goals you need to throw the ball into the arc, there are two teams, and the team that score most goals it’s going to win and you can only use your legs . In football, you have turns that exchange between attack and defense, it’s a very tactical game, but you also need a good physical condition, the main objective it’s to advance yards to go to the finish line and do a touchdown, or you can also kick the ball, and do a field goal, but you will only have 3 points, if you do a touchdown you are going to have 7 points and an extra point.
    To some people it’s boring to do exercise, but it’s an essential part in our lives, that promote your health, makes you feel better and you can relax. It reduce your risks to suffer a disease like all the heart attacks, so if you do exercise you can live more years and you can enjoy the life, so keep moving !!!

  13. The sports are a part very important our lives because the human body need do exercise a lot. The people do exercise whit the sports because when the people practice some sport the body liberate energy and reduce the grease.
    I like ride a bicycle but this sport is very expensive and hart because the materials that you needs are very expensive and is hart because you need train a lot because you need a good condition. If you want practice this sport you need a good bicycle, special shoes, a helmet and good condition.
    If you do exercise and have a good diet, you may have a good healthy.

  14. Do exercise or practices any sport is very healthy because you can strengthen the muscles of your body, reduce the bad cholesterol and avoid bad problems in your heart; but not only with exercise makes you healthy, you might eat fruits, vegetables and eat less food with sugar.
    I like to play soccer, it´s a sport when you have to score a goal in the arc. In the professional leagues of soccer, usually the teams play with 11 players, but if you like to play with your friends, they play with 5 or fewer players per team
    Other sport is baseball, in this, first you have to have aim and to throw the ball and accuracy to hit the ball with the baseball bat and then try to make a home-run.
    REMEMBER: If you want to have a good physical condition, do exercise.

  15. My favorite sports are: baseball, football, tennis, skateboarding, basketball and soccer. I practice soccer and basketball, for me are the most important sports in my life.
    The soccer is the most beautiful sport all the world, this is a sport practiced by women and men. The people who do this sport need a soccer ball, soccer shoes and a team to play with you.
    The basketball is a very interesting sport because you need to have a great ability with your hands. To practice this sport you need a basketball ball, basketball hoop and if you want to form a basketball team you need 5 person and a couch.

    My favorite sports are soccer and tennis. First if you play soccer you have to know how to play as a team. To play soccer is important to know that you don’t have to hold the ball or dribble unless you really do not have anything else to do, you always should try to work as a team and if you want to play soccer you just need a soccer ball. The tennis is a sport for two or four players, in this sport you have to hit the ball with a racket to the other player; you need a racket and balls.

  17. I like to play swimming, tennis and soccer.
    Swimming is best practiced in an olympic sized poul or similar.You need to swim in straight rows in order to beable to swim a certain distance swiftly and to avoid accidents.In swimming you learn different strokes to benefit different parts of the body.In this you are exercising your complete body.
    Tennis is a hobby for me in my free time.I practice on a tennis court that is specially prepared for this sport.
    It´s used only for this sport to care for and maintain the quality of the playing area.You need appropriate clothing and shoes.
    Also a special racket and balls are necessary.
    Playing sports helps you to develop certain areas of the brain that helps you to study and learn other things better.Also your body is freshly oxigenated through playing sports, resulting in having more energy.
    Also you can: keeping your body fit, controling your weight, avoid diseases such as: high blood pressur, diabetes, obesity, heart disease and blood sugar levels.

    Sports and exercises will help you to have a healthy live, without diseases, obesity or stress.
    There are a lot of kinds of sports, you can pratice it alone or with a team.
    I like to play volleyball and tennis.
    Volleyball is a multiplayer sport, you can practice at the beach. Volleyball is very funny and interesting.
    Tennis is a very fun sport, is a little bit difficult, but when you learn it you can spend a lot of hours practicing.
    If you don’t like volleyball or tennis, you can practice soccer, swimming, basket, badminton..
    You must practice sports and exercises to enjoy yourself, and to have a healthy live.

  19. For me the importance of sports apart from fun is that thanks to them we can be healthy and have a better life.
    There are different sports, some practiced in other team others are individual are competitive others less so.
    My favorite sports are soccer and tennis, football my favorite team is Juventus and for me the best tennis player is Novak Djokovic.
    Soccer is usually teams of eleven players but can be played with five or even two.
    And the tennis game there are two types of individual and couples and is responsible rackets and balls.
    And for tennis or soccer cleats deal depends on the surface to be playing a ball and if you are playing as a goalkeeper gloves.

  20. The importance of sports is vital to our health, which have more advantages than disadvantages such as:
    Improves oxygenation of the body, reduces heart risks, regulates blood pressure, remove excess fat, supports metabolic function, preserves muscle tone, and many more benefits.
    I like to practice every Tuesday badminton sport and exercise four times a week; Badminton is a racquet sport played by either two opposing players (singles) or two opposing pairs (doubles), who take positions on opposite halves of a rectangular court that is divided by a net. Players score points by striking a shuttlecock with their racquet so that it passes over the net and lands in their opponents' half of the court. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. A rally ends once the shuttlecock has struck the floor.
    In conclusion sports are very important in our life because they promote greater strength, less risk of acquiring diseases such as diabetes, maintaining proper weight, better use of energy, improves sleep quality, increased stress tolerance and help us to have excellent health.

  21. Sports are important for us because they are part of our lives. They show our life style depending of the kind of sport each person practices. Sports play an important role in our health. By doing exercises we keep our bodies active and strong.
    I enjoy practicing sports like soccer and downhill. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. It is about kicking the ball, passing it to another soccer player and then through it to the net. To make a goal you have to kick the ball through the framework. To practice this sport you need tennis shoes and comfortable clothes. Each team has eleven players, if you make a mistake, the referee will show you a yellow card, or a red card. If he shows a red card, you are out the game.
    To practice downhill you need a good bike and a helmet. This concise in going down a mountain or a big hill riding a bike. You must be careful because you can crash with a tree or a rock.
    I really enjoy practicing these sports because they are not only good for my health but also they are lot of fun to practice.

  22. The sports are very important for our health because they make us use all our muscles,we can prevent diseases like hypertension, we can loose weight, get fit and also relax, meet some new friends.
    Two sports that i like are:
    The basketball: a regular basketball game has four periods of ten minutes each.
    Each team has twelve players, five are going to start the game and the other seven are the alternate players.
    Swimming: you can do it in a pool or also can do open water.
    To do open water you have to swim in a sea or lake, there are five, ten and twenty five kilometers of open water for all age people.
    In a pool you can do different styles, like Freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly stroke.

  23. Well i like to do any kind of sports some of them are baseball, basketball, football… but the most important in my life is the basketball. I play basketball once a week at least. The basketball is a team sport in which two teams try to score points by shooting a ball through the basketball hoop. If you like to play basketball you need to have great abilities with your hands, coordination and reflexes.
    Doing exercises and sports is very good for keep our body in form and make us a healthier and stronger persons, also help us to prevent some diseases that can cause our death.

  24. In my case I like to play soccer, baseball and football.
    I practice soccer 2 or 3 times per week, in the high school and in the neighborhood with my friends.
    To play soccer you need a ball, tennis shoes and sport clothes.
    To play this sport, first you need two teams and those teams have to score goals, and the team that score more goals win.
    In the world soccer is the sport that has more fans around the world and in the world the people that like soccer, like me, have different types of cups in different categories like under 17, under 21… and cups for clubs or for national selections (world cup).
    Practice sports or do exercises are very important things that we have to do for a good health, besides that if we practice at least 2 times per week we could take care about some diseases that can cause death, have a better physical appearance and feel better with your body.

Sports are very important in our lifes because they help us to feel and be healthier, we need to practice sports every weeks to prevent diseases and make us feel better with our self, everybody likes look strong and beautiful...If you want to look like that you need to practice sports. Sometimes I like to practice soccer with my friends, I`m not good at this but I enjoy it a lot, to practice this sport you need tennis shoes, sport clothes and a lot of enthusiasm!In some countries people practice proffesional futbol and they are a good players. Also I like to practice cycling, this is so enjoyable, to practice this sport you need a good quality bike, sport clothes and good balance.
    All the sports that people practice help to mantain the physical condition and look better, all people need to make exercise to be healthier!

  26. My favorite sports and I like to practice are soccer, football, bmx and basketball. I think the sports are too important because you have healthier and strong.
    Too practice football you need a comfortable clothes, one ball and more important to have desire of practicing. Too practice bmx you need an bicycle but special for this sport, protection and a good place to practice.
    My favorite sport is bmx because He needs many skills and agility to practice. If you practice this or other sports you have a healthy live and you are going to have fewer diseases.

  28. I like to play volleyball, also I like the gymnastic, but I don`t practice it. Volleyball is an interesting sport, it can be practice everywhere. It`s played with the hands, the point is in not let the ball touch the flour, because that will mean a point. The other one, gymnastic, it`s beautiful and they are many types of it. Even with the existence of many different kinds of gymnastic one thing is sure, you`ll need the most parts of your body, so you`ll have to have an excellent body condition. Doing sports is a really important thing, it keeps you healthy. People who don`t have the habit of doing sports, soon or later present some kind of healthy problems. Most of them become more serious with time. Doing sports it`s good from everywhere you see it. If you do it daily, you probably going to feel healthier, stronger, prettier and less tired.

  29. Do exercise is important for us because that maintain us in shape and also give us a great health. My two favorites sports are the soccer and the football, the objective of the soccer are score goals in the other team soccer field, are played by two teams of eleven players with two times of fourty five minutes each one, for practiced this sport you need confortable clothe and the shoes for play, this sport is practiced in all world and his most famous tournament is the world cup of the fifa and this is played every four years. The objective of the football is make more points than the other team, the points can be get by touchdowns, field goals or safetys, is played by two teams of eleven players, had four quarters of fifteen minutes each one and is a very physical sport, for practiced this sport you need a helmet and all the protections for the body and the shoes, the most famous event is the super bowl that is played by the winner of the national conference and the winner of the american conference.

  30. Well, my favorite sport is…! I don’t really have a favorite sport, because my sport is the music, play the viola! But for this case one of my favorites sports its tennis, it’s a very interesting and difficult, is played between two players, each one use a racket to hit a ball, trying to make points by making difficult shots to the other player. Another sport that I like is mountain biking, is really interesting! For this you need a bike and a rough terrain, this is very difficult and dangerous because you have to be very precise and concentrated to do this.
    The sports are very important in our lives, they provided us whit nicer and healthier bodies, whit more energy and condition to do more things and feel better in general! Doing exercise also help to keep fit!

  31. In my case, one of my favorite hobbies is sports. I love sports so much and I practiced every day. I like to practice soccer, beach volleyball, basketball, and many more.
    In a soccer game, there are 2 teams of 11 players each one, with the objective of score with the ball into the net; it’s practiced in a soccer field
    Also I like to practice beach volleyball, each team have 2 players and you must try to pass the ball over de net, to score a point if the opposing team drop the ball.
    Well I believe that sports are very important in our lives because without them we are going to have health problems like obesity, high blood pressure, hypertension and many more. Also sports help us to maintain a good physical condition, be relaxed, and it’s a hobby that almost everyone have.
